Directions to Registration at the UMC

These directions will take you to the Euclid Autopark, the closest parking to the UMC, where registration will be held on Sunday.

We are providing directions and maps for two different routes from Denver International Airport (DIA). The first route, via E-470 and the Northwest Parkway is more direct, but is via a toll-road. The total toll is around $8. You will be billed automatically through the license plate number on your car, including rental cars. The second route, via Highways 76 and 36, is longer, but free. It is also more subject to traffic.

Directions Via the Toll-Road

  1. Drive West on Pena Blvd for about 4 miles. This is the main road leaving the airport.
  2. Take exit 6B to E-470 following signs to Fort Collins (and Boulder). After about 1 miles this merges onto the toll-road. Follow this for another 17 miles.
  3. This becomes the Northwest Parkway, a continuation of the toll-road. Continue for another 9.5 miles.
  4. Take the ramp to the right onto US-36 West. Follow this for 8 miles.
  5. Take the Baseline Road exit (Colorado Highway 93). Turn left at the first signal light (at the bottom of the ramp) onto Baseline Road, and continue for about 0.3 mile. After crossing under U.S. 36 (which you just exited), you will begin to see the University of Colorado on your right.
  6. Turn right onto North Broadway Street. This is actually the first right you can take after turning West onto Baseline. Follow Broadway for about 0.5 mile.
  7. Turn right onto 18th Street.
  8. Take the first left (just follow the road as it turns to the left), The Euclid Autopark will be on your right.

Directions Via Public Roads (No Toll)

  1. Drive West on Pena Blvd for about 10 miles. This is the main road leaving the airport.
  2. Follow the road to the right (exit 0) onto Interstate 70 West (I-70 W/36 W). Continue for about 6 miles.
  3. Take exit 279 to merge onto Interstate 270 West (I-270 W) following signs to Fort Collins. Continue for about 6 miles.
  4. Following signs for US-36 W/Boulder, follow the road to the right onto US-36 West. Continue for about 20 miles.
  5. Take the Baseline Road exit (Colorado Highway 93). Turn left at the first signal light (at the bottom of the ramp) onto Baseline Road, and continue for about 0.3 mile. After crossing under U.S. 36 (which you just exited), you will begin to see the University of Colorado on your right.
  6. Turn right onto North Broadway Street. This is actually the first right you can take after turning West onto Baseline. Follow Broadway for about 0.5 mile.
  7. Turn right onto 18th Street. (There is a blue sign on the corner saying UMC Student Center.)

Directions to Registration at Macky Auditorium

Parking Around Macky Auditorium is limited. There is a lot directly East of the auditorium, but it is not always available to the public. On-street parking is available. Payment is made at special kiosks via a credit card or cash.

Directions to Engineering Center Parking and Smith Residence Hall

These directions will take you to the parking structure on the East side of the Engineering Center, the closest parking to the Math Building, for Monday registration, and also to the Engineering Center, where the conference sessions will be held.

(Alternate directions are also given for Smith Residence Hall.)

  5. As you round a corner to the right into Boulder, the highway will end and the speed limit will decrease. Turn left at the first traffic light, Colorado Avenue.
  6. Take the first left, at the light, onto Regent Drive. The Engineering Center is on your right, and the parking structure is on your left.
  7. For Smith Residence Hall:
    After turning onto Regent Drive, continue past the Engineering Center and the parking structure approximately 1 km. After crossing the small overpass, turn left onto Kittredge Loop Drive. Take the first left (onto the Northern part of the loop). Take the first right to Smith Hall.

Bus Service from DIA to Boulder

Buses run from Denver International Airport (DIA) to Boulder every hour. Follow the signs in the main terminal of DIA to the Ground Transportation counter. There you can find information on RTD (public) buses as well as private shuttle services. The public bus is Route AB (short for "Airport-Boulder") SkyRide (note that there are other SkyRide routes.)
