All parking lots on campus require a parking permit or hourly payment. Parking permits must be purchased online from Parking Services. You may purchase an event permit by selecting Purchase Event Parking, Conferences, 6.23–28.24 22nd Thermophysical 18th ICPWS, and then entering the voucher code ICPWS. You will then be able to choose from two lots — Lot 308 (near Kittredge) or Lot 327 (underground parking at C4C). Your event permit is only valid in the selected lot. Outside of the event dates, you will need to pay for short-term parking (see below) or purchase a daily permit.

To purchase daily permit(s), or if you would prefer a different lot, instead select Purchase Parking Permit, Daily & Evening Parking, and then you can select 1 Day, 5 Day, or Evening parking. Day passes are valid from 12:00 a.m.–11:59 p.m. for the date(s) specified; evening passes are valid from 4:00 p.m.–11:59 p.m. You will need to pick a specific lot and permits are only valid for the lot specified at the time of purchase. The most convenient lot for the Engineering Center, where most of the conference takes place, is the large parking structure and lot on the East side of the Engineering Center (Lot 436). Other permit lots near the Engineering Center include Lot 444, Lot 434, and Lot 360.

Please note that whichever permit you choose, you will need to provide information about the car (license plate, state, make, model, and color ). All permits are electronic and do not need to be printed if you have received a confirmation email. If short-term parking is required until you can purchase a permit, there are a few pay lots available throughout campus where you can pay at a Parking Kiosk. The closest short-term pay lot to Engineering is Lot 440. Use the interactive campus map to see all available parking lots ("Parking" must be selected from the collapsed menu)

Directions from the Airport

We are providing directions and maps for two different driving routes from Denver International Airport (DIA). The first route, via E-470 and the Northwest Parkway, is more direct but utilizes toll roads. The total toll is approximately $12-15. Discuss toll options (e.g., license plate vs transponder) with your rental car company. The second route, via Highways 70/270/36, is longer, but free. It is also more subject to traffic.

Bus Service from DIA to Boulder

Buses run from Denver International Airport (DIA) to Boulder approximately every hour. Follow the signs in the main terminal of DIA to the Denver Airport Transit Center. There you can purchase tickets for RTD (public) buses. The public bus between DIA and Boulder is the AB1. The bus schedule can be found on the RTD website. Additionally, more information regarding ground transportation can be found at the DIA website or at the Ground Transportation Information Counter located in the central area on Level 5 of the main terminal.

Private Transportation from DIA to Boulder

Private transportation options include rental car, taxi or rideshare services (i.e., Uber and Lyft), and shuttles (e.g., EightBlack).
